MORE PAGES

The front page is getting more functionality. It will now have articles that click to other pages! Not just a news feed!

The original point of this website was to de-center instagram as the primary paltform for my work. Social Media is a prison. As creatives I think we should be actively working to be less reliant on it. As just a news page this was really just redirecting back to instagram and YouTube. Now the main timeline will have posts leading to seperate pages where I have more control! In other words I'm over philisophizing basic website functionality.

In other news I will be at Weed-Violence III on April 19th tabling with Crawling-Hand Zine. It's an all day metal fest at the Middle-East club in Cambridge Massachusetts, so pull up if you're around. It'll be a fun time!

DVD's ARE HERE

DVD's for Speed Punk Dead Fuck are out now on Northern Hell Kult! I could not be more thankful of NHK. They've been an enormous support to my creative endeavors and this DVD is the latest result of that. You can click the ad below this to purchase them. The pre-orders for the soundtrack CD are available on their Bandcamp as well! Physical media is the future. They can take your favorite movie off Netflix, but the man can't take the SPDF out of your DVD.

Speed Punk Dead Fuck VHS Tapes are finally up in the shop. I had a few leftover and need them out of my apartment!

That's all the new news right now. As far as old news still have some previously discussed projects still in the works.

ROACH Video

I think I spilled my load early announcing this one. The employees over at the funeral home housing the corpse of ROACH are still getting the late bands affairs in order, and it is obvious that the process is much longer than I had understood. My apologies to the 1, maybe 2 people who have been following that through this news column.

Crustmas Documentary

Still working on that animated intro, but having fun with it. I wonder how much of the final product needs to be animated for it to get on Newgrounds?

Crawling Hand Zine

Me and Dalton over at Crawling Hand have confirmed a few skateboarding related interviews. Should be sick. I'm hoping I can swing a job at Transworld off of this.

I think that's enough fluffing this ad for VHS tapes. Go buy one, and thanks for visiting Bughead.org.

The Bughead Podcast Spotify page is officially dead. I didn't really see a purpose in paying $15 a month on the RSS feed for a show I don't do anymore. You can still go listen to it here so don't worry. I want to do some kind of audio format show again, but that's gonna need some planning before I drop money hosting it again. Tbh the fact you can't upload a podcast to streaming like you can YouTube is kinda asinine. Fuck spotify.

I might have to plan that audio show sooner than later, because I really don't have any new content for you. ROACH video is still sitting finished on my hard-drive. Just waiting for them to get their final release plan ready. The Crustmas Documentary is coming along slowly. My last documentary, Speed Punk Dead Fuck, was pretty easy to put together in the editing stages. The members of Warcastle are some of my long time besties, and I got close with Mordhau fast. The documentary's focus on specific bands allowed me to let the members explain the context and narrative to the audience themselves. There wasn't a need for narration outside of a few graphics at the start. Once it was time to edit I just had to organize the footage into a 3 act structure, which was pretty easy considering we filmed 3 shows for the doc.

Crustmas was a one day event of bands I mostly hadn't seen before, and no one band was the focus. Now, this isn't a bad thing. The vehicle for exposition just can't be a main character because there isn't one. The only consistent character throughout the footage is me, the observer. Despite my strong dislike of hearing my own voice, I am narrating this one and using multimedia/animation to cover up any gaps in the footage. I haven't mixed my multi-media art with my documentaries in this significant of a manner before, so it will be an interesting expirement. Maybe it comes out great, maybe I'll owe Northern Hell Kult their money back. I've never been a good judge of my own works quality so y'all can tell me when it comes out.

In other news, I'm helping put together some skateboarding content for Crawling Hand Zine. Crawling Hand puts out a solid mag full of art, graffiti, and punk, and it's gonna be real cool to help bring some skating into the mix there. I should really drop another skate video sometime soon.

Don't have much else to say other than that. Go buy something from the shop so I can pay my RSS hosting again one day.

Realising while writing this that making a news post before the site properly launched was probably a waste of time. Oh well, it worked as a place-holder.

Welcome to the official Bughead.org. I've made plenty of websites in the past, but this was my first time getting my hands dirty with HTML. I'm sure you can tell from the simple layout, but I honestly like it better than any wordpress or squarespace pages I made for the failed projects of yesteryear.

The video of ROACH's set in Worcester MA last December is coming out sometime soon. I've had it done for a hot second, just waiting on the band to get their ducks in a row to drop it. This was the bands last show, and it was a fucking ripper. Collapsed Skull outta Pennsylvania, and DC's Drivel were on tour together and played the first two sets. I hadn't heard of either band, but they've both found a home in my grindcore/powerviolence/crust/etc. playlist. Easy recommend on both of them.

Baltimore PV legends Sinister Feeling followed that up with a set that caused more violence than I had ever seen in a room that small. I was standing 2 rows back and somehow still caught a few blows. The pit could not be contained by bullshit man-made concepts like "circles" or "perimeters." It was a kind of chaos you don't get to see at every show, but is always a joy when you do.

My good friends in ROACH went on after that, but I'll let the video speak for itself when it comes out. I'll write about that set in more detail when the video drops. You can purchase ROACH's first and final album as a cassette through Baby Chico Records, or Digitally on Bandcamp.

In other news, now that the site is up I'm heavy into the post-production for the Crustmas 3 documentary. Saving the thoughts on the event for the doc itself, but it's felt good to sink my teeth into a long form project again.

Well, that's about it I guess. If you'd like to support the Bughead entity, consider buying a pin from the shop. Or better yet, buy the $2 digital copy of the photozine from last year. All profits from it go to LUCE Immigrant Justice Network.

First news post on the new Bughead.org! It's a free neocities site, but at least the url I pay $12 a year for no longer links to a link-tree page.

Anyhow, December was a busy month for me. I shot the last Roach set at a house show over in Worcester MA, and Crustmas up in Holden ME. I'll keep it 100 with you.The first month of 2026 was a lazy af. I did manage to finish editing the Roach set. Sad to see the band go, but the video came out awesome and will be out soon. You'll see the Crustmas footage later this year. And lastly Speed Punk Dead Fuck movie posters are available through Northern Hell Kult. Check the label out under the "Friends of Bughead" tab!
